Thank you for your attention, and lets keep these precious and hard won piles of treasure around as long as possible, shall we? My personal favorite method is just to post a page reference for Da Archive or Da Annex, with a short instruction or two of how to find the desired item of treasure, letting the OP document do the job of guarding the links. Posting a full link right out of a large Trove/Collection that does not belong to you risks the whole thing, which could contain practically irreplaceable files, suffering thermonuclear termination. This becomes most important when filling requests. Why not all of the above for the sake of Personal Paranoia? nz equivalent, in this case) from everything after with the return key, or replace dots with spaces/spellings, or replace vowels with numbers, or literally anything that makes it not show as a link. "I am so godlike you must endure the most atrocious puns and lame jokes I can spout off." Even the newer version had Santa's workshop. It's like those wretched archmage patrons that were so common. Goofy and bizarre monsters are one thing, but every edition has been cursed with "I'm so clever and hilarious, hur hur." 'Hydrodjinns' and 'Oxydjinns' come to mind. The icing on the poison cake is that the authors felt compelled to fill it with the idiotic 5th grade level puns that they were not allowed to use elsewhere. Make a new edition, still don't have support materials. TSR et al are partially to blame, they make a game, don't release support materials. I am sad that GW no longer stands for GammaWorld. ![]() ![]() ![]() There are also new missions and a new leaderboard for the new park, among many other tiny tweaks and fixes that make True Skate a better overall game. You now have the option to change the opacity of the HUD as well as turn off all the trick and scoring text that pops up on the screen for a much cleaner interface. Setting a respawn point is now much easier to do right from the main game screen, and the physics engine now recognizes and locks into blunt slides on ledges much better. There are a bunch of other welcome new options in this update too. Otherwise, if you wish, you can purchase unlimited customization for a one-time 99¢ IAP. Also, the customization uses a similar system to the Slow Motion mode that was introduced in a previous update where customizing your board will cost you the True Credits that you earn through playing or by buying as IAP packs. I’ve been able to find images that look cool anyway, so it’s not a huge deal, but it would be a nice option to have. There doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust the size or position of the images you use, so you’re stuck with however the game ends up placing it on the board. It’s great to finally be able to see something other than the default board, but my one gripe is that the system is very basic. You can dive into your device’s photo collection and choose a picture to apply to the bottom of the board and even to the grip tape on the top. The other big feature in this new update is the ability to customize your board. The possibilities seem endless, and Inbound should keep True Skate’rs busy for a very, very long time. It’s an indoor skatepark and it’s absolutely massive, filled with all manner of different ramps, ledges and rails. The new park is called Inbound and is available as a 99¢ in-app purchase. Last month we detailed a new skatepark that developer True Axis had in the works for True Skate, and as of today that update has gone live in the App Store. ![]() It’s just the kind of game that I can’t help but jump into whenever I have a free moment. Since its release last October, and our subsequent review, I believe I’ve played True Skate every single day in at least some capacity. If there were some sort of award for “game I’ve spent the most time playing since release" then I’m almost positive True Skate ($1.99) would be the winner. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here the speaker of the poem introduces the four characters. Cummings continued to give poetry readings to college audiences across the United States until his death on September 3, 1962, in North Conway, New Hampshire. Despite such successes, however, he never achieved a steady income. Cummings continued to write steadily throughout the 1940s and 1950s, reaching his greatest popularity during this period and winning a number of honors, including the Shelley Memorial Award for poetry in 1944, the Charles Eliot Norton Professorship at Harvard for the academic year 1952–1953, and the Bollingen Prize for Poetry in 1958. Views and became deeply conservative on social and political issues. He was very disillusioned, however, by the regimentation and lack of personal and artistic freedom he encountered there. Politically liberal with leftist leanings, cummings visited the Soviet Union in 1931 to learn about that government’s system of art subsidies. He published his first poetry collection, Tulips and Chimneys, in 1923. During the 1920s and 1930s, he traveled widely in Europe, living alternately in Paris and New York, and developing parallel careers as a poet and a painter. Cummings and Elaine Thayer married in 1924, at which time cummings legally adopted Nancy. Cummings’s daughter Nancy was born in 1919, but she was given Thayer’s name. Beginning around this time, cummings, with the knowledge and approval of his friend Schofield Thayer, had an affair with Schofield’s wife Elaine. He spent about a year at Camp Danvers, Massachusetts, during which time he wrote prolifically. Cummings returned to New York and pursued painting but was drafted in 1918. Although he found his detention amusing and even enjoyable, his father made use of his contacts in government to secure his son’s release. As a result of his disregard of regulations and his attempts to outwit the wartime censors in his letters home, cummings spent four months in an internment camp in Normandy on suspicion of treason. The copyeditor of the book, however, mistook cummings’s intentions as typographical errors and made “corrections.” During World War I, cummings volunteered for the French-based Norton-Harjes Ambulance Service. These eight pieces feature the experimental verse forms and the lowercase personal pronoun “i” that were to become his trademark. His first published poems appeared in the anthology Eight Harvard Poets in 1917. He received a bachelor’s degree in 1915 and a master’s degree the following year. While in college, he became fascinated by avant-garde art, modernism, and cubism, and he began incorporating elements of these styles into his own poetry and paintings. Cummings attended Harvard University from 1911 to 1915 and joined the editorial board of the Harvard Monthly, a college literary magazine. From an early age cummings showed a strong interest in poetry and art, which was encouraged by his mother Rebecca. Author Biographyīorn in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on October 14, 1894, cummings spent his childhood in that city, where his father Edward Cummings was a sociology professor at Harvard and a Unitarian clergyman. People are constantly evolving, and with every new experience they cease to be who they were and become who they are. All perceived experience, asserts the poem, is colored by individual predispositions-“Seek and Ye shall find.” As well, however, one might argue that the poem also asserts “Find and Ye shall become.” In other words, the poem suggests that experience changes who a person is and that by virtue of having new experiences one becomes a new and different person. If people are friendly, they find friendship if they are fearful, they find monsters if they are perceptive, they recognize the transcendent beauty and importance of a single stone. In other words, people receive from the world what they bring to it. The poem concludes from these examples that every child, and indeed every person, finds in “the sea” something of themselves. Maggie finds a shell, milly a starfish, molly a “horrible thing,” and may a “smooth round stone.” Each of these objects then takes on a larger meaning in the poem each becomes symbolic of the child who finds it. Mimicking the singsong tone and style common to childhood nursery rhymes, the speaker presents four children who have gone to the beach to play and describes what each child finds in the process. Like many of cummings’s poems, including “in Just-,” “maggie and milly and molly and may” depicts children at play and uses them as a vehicle to arrive at a universal statement about life. “Maggie and milly and molly and may” was first published in 95 Poems, cummings’s fifteenth collection of verse. ![]() |
